Genesys GETS software gateway
The Genesys Enterprise Telephony Software (GETS) Solution is essentially a translation device between Microsoft's Office Communication Server (OCS) and an Enterprise PBX using CSTA-over-SIP communication protocol.

Genesys GETS software gateway has been very instrumental and cost effective for our Cisco clients who need to connect with OCS but are not interested in CUPS.

Unified Communications Implementations

 

Enabling Technologies has the knowledge and experience to provide a variety of UC implementations related to Microsoft UC Applications including Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Exchange 2010 Unified Messaging.  For all of these implementations, Enabling Technologies will send experienced technicians to your site to provide hardware if requested, as well as both solution installation and training services. Enabling Technologies provides programming, design, and guidance, as well as top-to-bottom testing for the solution. We can also help you design where to put servers, determine how many servers to install, and build redundancy into any application.

Project Management Services

Enabling assigns a project manager to every formal engagement.  The PM is responsible for:

• Handling all communication aspects of the project, such as interfacing between engineers and the customer
• Technical support and guidance as needed, throughout the entire implementation process
• Single point of contact for all customer communication, meetings, and follow up and change requests

The various implementation services Enabling provides include the following:

1. Lync Server (Formerly Office Communications Server 2007) 

For customers who are not on Lync or are on previous versions such as OCS 2007 R2 , Enabling Technologies can completely configure Lync for IM/presence, audio/video, and web conferencing/collaboration.  ETC will install all Lync roles. This installation work includes:

  • Analysis of client needs to determine required server roles, licensing types, and architectures
  • Existing environment/architecture review 
  • PBX versions, software capabilities, dial plan and interface configurations, ANI capabilities 
  • LAN interfaces and QoS settings
  • Technical white boarding and expectations validation
  • Rack, stack, and initial programming of Lync/OCS
  • Configuration, deployment, and  testing services of Lync/OCS functions
  •  Audio/Video
  •  Web Conferencing
  •  IM/Presence
  • Implementation of Lync/OCS certificates, policies, and licenses

 

2. VoIP Gateway Integration

For customers who already possess the in-house capability to install a Lync server, formerly know as OCS server, within their infrastructure or who have already deployed OCS for IM/Presence, Enabling Technologies can provide full installation of the gateway that bridges the Lync server with the customer’s PBX system.  The three approved gateway manufacturers certified to work with Microsoft are AudioCodes, Dialogic and NET.  Enabling possesses expertise with all three having tested them in a lab environment and installed them in production environments with various PBXs .   Enabling can evaluate your environment and help select the appropriate gateway, and the type of integration is dependent upon the customer PBX and usage characteristics. 

Geared especially to customers who do not have detailed technical knowledge about PBX integration, gateway only implementation is an in-depth process that Enabling Technologies can easily and quickly provide.


During implementation, Enabling Technologies engineers will conduct:

  • Environmental and architecture review
  • PBX versions, software capabilities, dial plan and interface configurations, ANI capabilities 
  • Lync implementation settings and mediation server configuration
  • LAN interfaces and QoS settings
  • Technical whiteboarding and expectations validation
  • Rack, stack, and cabling of OCS Gateway
  • Turn-up, configuration, and testing of Gateway
  • Activation of license file
  • Dual T1 configuration
  • Configure Gateway to interface ISDN PRI to telco
  • Configure Gateway to route calls from PBX users to and from the PSTN
  • Configure Gateway to route calls from MOC users to and from the PSTN
  • Configure Gateway to route calls between PBX users and MOC users
  • Configure Gateway to cover unanswered calls to E2K7 UM
  • Test all the above functionality


Validation of programming and configuration of the PBX (your PBX administrator needs to make the actual programming changes)

3. Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Unified Messaging:

Enabling Technologies has the knowledge and experience to provide a variety of implementations related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 UM. These installations include: Gateway; Gateway Plus Exchange Server 2010 UM; Message Waiting Indicator; Auto Attendant; Exchange Server 2010; Message Networking; with Caller Applications.

For all of these implementations, Enabling Technologies will send experienced technicians to your site. They provide:

• Hardware if requested
• Solution installation and training services
• Programming, design, and guidance
• Top-to-bottom testing for the solution
• Help in designing where to place the servers, determining how many servers to install, and building redundancy into any application

4. Gateway and Exchange Unified Messaging

Gateway Plus Exchange Server 2010 UM Server Role


For those customers who want to implement a gateway and desire assistance in deploying the Unified Messaging role of Exchange 2010, Enabling Technologies will provide the gateway work described above, and deploy and customize UM server role. This installation work includes:

• All of the tasks outlined in item one above
• Analyze and advise on hardware requirements for the UM role
• Discuss storage considerations
• Review client considerations on security, permissions, delegating roles, and the rights that are required to administer Exchange Server 2007
• Configuration, deployment, and  testing services
• Install and/or optimize the UM server role
• UM Policies implementation, integration, and activation (conceptually similar to traditional voicemail Classes of Service (COS))
• Auto attendant configuration and activation
• Knowledge Transfer about UM administration through the Exchange Management Console and the Exchange Management Shell to administer and configure specific settings or enable bulk changes
• Configure Exchange UM System Objects (UM Dial Plan, IP Gateway, Hunt Group, UM Server, UM Mailbox Policy, UM Auto-Attendant)
• Configure load-balancing across multiple VOIP gateways if desired
