New York’s Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is made up of more than 700 men and women providing mobility services to 60,000 customers each day. CDTA’s employees are nimbly improving services for its citizens using the collaboration and calling capabilities of Microsoft Teams.
K-12 school districts have a lot of ground to cover. Faculty, staff, and students all count on reliable infrastructure, solid security, and effective apps and services. Yet they typically do so with small IT teams. Southwest Allen County School District, near Fort Wayne, Indiana has been running lean for years. With the help of Enabling Technologies, Southwest Allen County Schools set and executed a plan to migrate to Exchange Online, even during 2020.
An outdated SharePoint system can fade into obscurity. But when upgraded correctly with a proper user adoption program, it can return to stardom. It’s that kind of turnaround that was led by Israel Class, the Director of IT at GateWay Community College. He shared his story after working with Enabling Technologies.
Our relationship with Armtec Defense Technologies began in 2014, with a Lync project. “Enabling came to the rescue,” said Muscarella. “They assessed our situation, looked at our design, made some strong recommendations that would best fit our network model, and provided a great foundation. We enabled PhishHunter at exactly the right time. Otherwise, we were going to have a potential catastrophe on our hands. In early 2018, I noted a much more realistic quality of phishing emails. The login pages that came after the click were also very realistic. If a user didn’t happen to notice the odd URL, there’d be no way they could resist logging in. We quickly made the decision to use PhishHunter to automatically disable compromised accounts.”
All the up-front effort is paying off with user satisfaction and business results. “Teams is really helpful on projects with stakeholders across the organization,” said Namvar. “It’s more efficient to have channels to organize conversations than a lot of emails. When we’re reviewing and making lots of changes on a file, not having to manage the replies and edits is helpful.”
Using Microsoft solutions in partnership with Enabling Technologies, the Aquarium provides secure access to information, Office 365, and collaboration tools. “Enabling has been very trustworthy,” said Tawiah. “We count on their counsel, and their ability to fill gaps for us.”
